Lessons from Losing Maximus: A Tribute to Love and Letting Go

Saying goodbye to a beloved pet is one of the hardest experiences anyone can face. In September, I said farewell to Maximus—Max—a dog who had been my loyal companion for over 15 years. Writing about his last day feels necessary, not only to honor his memory but also to share the profound lessons his passing revealed to me as an Akashic reader and animal communicator. Recognizing the Signs of Change


For about a week before Max’s final day, I noticed he stopped eating. He still drank water, but his energy was fading. Our daily walks, once full of excitement and exploration, became shorter and slower. He could no longer make it around the block, and even the back parking lot felt overwhelming. These changes were subtle but unmistakable signals that something was shifting.

When the time came, I rang the bell to begin the final process. I stayed with Max through every moment, holding his paw and witnessing his last breath. It was a profound experience of connection and release.

Suddenly, a beam of light shone directly into the car.
